Walgreens has ended the Easy Saver Rebate program. They are promising to offer a new loyalty program, with many speculating the Register Rewards will be bigger & better! Register Rewards are much like CVS' Extra Care Bucks program. When you purchase an item eligible for Register Rewards (RRs), a RR certificate will print at the cash register. You can then use these RRs on a future purchase just as cash. With programs like these, you begin by paying out of pocket, but when you do this regularly, you end up paying with RRs, rather than out of pocket. RRs are a little tricky, Walgreens registers read these as Manufacturer coupons. Therefore if you are using both coupons & RRs, you have to be sure that the number of RRs + manufacturer coupons do not exceed the number of items you are purchasing. Walgreens has seemed to really step up their RRs program recently & it is a great way to get our everyday items for free!
