Ingredients -
2 - 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 - pkg. crescent rolls
1 egg, divided
1 C. Sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
additional 2 TBS. sugar
1 TBS. cinnamon
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spread 1 package crescent rolls flat in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Mix cream cheese, the egg yolk, 1 C. sugar and vanilla.
- Spread over bottom crust.
- Layer the other package crescent rolls over that.
- Beat egg white and spread over crescent rolls
- Mix together remaining sugar & cinnamon, sprinkle over top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Serve either warm or cooled, your preference.
I love this dessert! It is Jason's favorite.....his mom calls it cream cheese finger torte....though it is really not a torte! This recipe is in a cook book I got as a wedding present and it's just called cream cheese squares!
